Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 02/01/2026

Welcome to the Koch Family Fainters website. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and any purchases, reservations, or interactions with our farm.

By accessing our website, contacting us, or placing a deposit or payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About Us

Koch Family Fainters is a family-run goat breeding operation located in Indiana, specializing in Myotonic (Fainting) goats. All information provided on this website is for general informational purposes only and is subject to change without notice.

2. Website Use

By using this website, you agree that you will use the site for lawful purposes only, not misuse or interfere with the website’s functionality, not attempt unauthorized access to any part of the website, and not copy or reuse content, photos, or branding without permission. All website content, including text, images, logos, and branding, is the property of Koch Family Fainters unless otherwise stated.

3. Goat Information and Availability

All goats are sold on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise stated. Goat availability, pricing, and descriptions are subject to change at any time. Photos and descriptions are provided as accurately as possible, but appearance, color, and growth may change as animals mature. We do not guarantee show success, breeding outcomes, or future performance.

4. Deposits and Payments (PayPal)

Deposits are accepted through PayPal to reserve a specific goat. A deposit does not constitute full payment.  A non-refundable $100 deposit is required to hold any goat. Final payment must be completed before the goat leaves our property. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a sale at our discretion, with a refund of any deposit paid.

5. Health and Care

All goats are healthy to the best of our knowledge at the time of sale. Buyers are responsible for proper care, biosecurity, and transportation after pickup or delivery. Once a goat leaves our property, we are not responsible for illness, injury, death, or stress-related issues.

6. Pickup, Transport, and Delivery

Buyers are responsible for arranging pickup or transport unless otherwise agreed in writing. Risk of loss or injury transfers to the buyer at the time the goat leaves our property. We are not responsible for delays, stress, or injuries caused by third-party transporters.

7. Health Guarantees

All goats are guaranteed to be in good health at the time of the sale and when they leave our farm. If a goat develops health issues and a refund is requested, a health inspection by a veterinarian is required, with all costs being incurred by the party requesting the refund. A refund will only be given if the veterinarian determines the health issues were genetic or contracted while the goat was on our farm. There are no refunds for other issues.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Koch Family Fainters shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of profits or business opportunities, injury, death, or illness of animals after transfer of possession, or injury to persons or property related to animal handling or farm visits.

9. Farm Visits and On-Site Liability

Visitors to our farm assume all risks associated with being on a working livestock property, including but not limited to animal behavior, uneven terrain, farm equipment, and weather conditions. We are not responsible for injuries or damages sustained during farm visits.

10. Third-Party Services

Our website may link to or integrate with third-party services such as PayPal (payment processing), Wix (website hosting), and social media platforms. We are not responsible for the practices or policies of third-party services.
